Top Ten, here we come.

I've always been a fan of top ten lists. Everybody has an opinion, and no one is ever exactly quite perfect, but they spark a lot of arguments. Who doesn't like arguments?

So, in the spirit of posting my own preferences, and ignoring anyone else's input, here's the first of what I hope will be many top ten lists to come. Be forewarned, this just means they're in my top ten, but not necessarily in the order in which they appear. (I reserve the right to change my mind at any time, and for any reason. Even if it is just to irritate you.)

Top Ten : Current TV Series (Network & Basic Cable only)

1- Leverage - Great characters, make this good-guy turned good/bad-guy show a hit.

2- Chuck - Soooooo funny, especially for the 20's/30's geek crowd.

3- House - He's smart, he's interesting, and he's an ass. The perfect role model.

4- Bones - I've liked David Boreanaz since his days on Angel, and he's just as good (if not better) here.

5- Burn Notice - Finally, a show that let's Bruce Campbell be funny, and gives Gabrielle Anwar a character worth watching.

6- Top Chef - You sit there watching the drama, imagining that you could do it too. You're wrong.

7- Lie to Me - I assume the novelty will wear off (like Numbers did) but for now it's plenty fun. Plus, Tim Roth is a great character.

8- Family Guy - Yes, it's stupid, sophomoric humor. But they do it so well.

9- Psych - Silly, and rather odd humor, but the characters make it worthwhile.

10- Eureka - One of the most interesting shows I've seen in years. It goes from witty banter to Twin Peaks'esque oddity as smoothly, and quickly, as you could hope. Love it!

So, there you have it. My choices, not yours. Argue if you want, disagree if you must, but know that I'm probably not listening.
